After five long years of attendance at Blogstream University (BU), I am pleased to announce that today I have received my M.S. degree in Blogology. Now I can go out as a blogologist and spread blogging throughout the land. At this university I have studied political science, theology, human psychology, economics, literature, anthropology, archeology, and many other interesting subjects. I shall always remember the good times I had at Ole BU.
I would be remiss if I didn't pay special homage to John (Pioneer), the illustrious Chancellor of Blogstream University. His diligence and guidance helped to smooth the path through BU, and for that I will be forever grateful.
I would like to give special recognition to these illustrious BU "professors" who have made my stay at BU a memorable one:
Ethics/Art - Lalepop Art/Female Anatomy - One Angry Zebra Political Science - Ron/Sarge (One Angry Zebra) - Capananda (One Aircooled Underground) - Peever - Toadie (The Toad Croaks) - the yellow fringe - notacynic Human Psychology - Ice Literature - Joe (Pagans Don't Wear Sandals) - Second Chances (Poetry) - Mr. Ornery's Corner - Big Dean Humor - TAB (Totally Ass Backwards) -MrOrnery's Corner Religious Studies/Theology - Lalepop - Wayfarer (Stream of Consciousness) - Ron (Radical Discipleship) Musicology - Sherry (Raindrops Make Things Beautiful) Athletics - Bryan (BMCohen) Environmental Studies - Joram (Illumination Guy's)
AND
All of the other "professors" from whom I have learned so much.
Now for a rousing rendition of the school song:
Oh, we are all Blogstream bloggers As we sing our praise for Ole BU We remember our past joys And we look forward to the passage of time As we journey into the future With many mountains still to climb
Sing hail to our blog host and BU Chancellor May Pioneer (John) last evermore His time and effort freely given To open every door BU shines as a star in the night Where once there was darkness there now is light
Come gather 'round, bloggers, Wherever you are heeded, And admit that the waters In Blogstream have receded. And accept it that soon You’ll be be dry as a bone.
If your blog to you is worth savin’ Then you better seek another haven Or you’ll be all alone; For the times they are a-changin'.
Many of the bloggers on Blogstream are now out looking for a new blog site from the many that are available. Three of the sites being considered at present are Blogger, Tumblr, and WordPress, with no particular site proving to be the right fit for every blogger. In my case, based upon the information I have found on the three sites, I think that Blogger would be the best fit for my blogging style.
The best part about Blogger is that it does not require you to have knowledge of CSS, HTML or other web design techniques. Thus it is an ideal platform for amateur bloggers to get started with their first blog.
Blogger has many free templates to choose from, so you can hope to find a template of your choice easily and all you have to do is just select your desired template. It has a simple text editor where YOU CAN TYPE AS MUCH CONTENT AS YOU WANT for your blog. The text editor also allows you to insert images, icons and pictures with ease.
Another great feature in Blogger is that you can drop and drag different sections, allowing you to change the look and feel of your blog whenever you desire. Blogger also enables you to add your own custom created header images, which adds a touch of your own creativity to your blog. (Source: blogihub.com)
